Hamarøy Galleri

Hamarøy Galleri is centrally located in the municipal administrative centre of Oppeid, approximately 1 km from the Knut Hamsun Centre.

The gallery features new exhibitions every season in addition to permanent exhibitions of the works of artist Sigrid Szetu and works by the popular graphic artist Bjørg Thorhallsdottir.
Karl-Gustav Gjertsen’s humorous works on the theme of the life and works of Knut Hamsun are also represented in the gallery. The gallery shop stocks jewellery art, glass and ceramics as well as lamps from Northern Lighting.

Hamarøy Galleri is part of Bokbyen Hamarøy.

Open daily 11am – 6pm from June 26 - August 29


Annual autumn exhibition in November and December.The gallery is open on request at other times of the year and may be used for cultural events and private functions. The gallery is disability-friendly.
