The rural village of Buvåg offers majestic nature and panoramic views of the Lofoten “wall” and is a coastal community roughly like it was in the old days. You can fish in the sea from a boat or from the shore, enjoy sunny days on white beaches, visit galleries, the folk museum, Tranøy Lighthouse, Knut Hamsun’s childhood home or take a day trip to Lofoten.

The main house has atmosphere and great views and was built on a picturesque site with heather, reindeer moss and beautiful mountains. On fine summer days, the sun shines here around the clock. The farm house has wonderful continental beds and a sauna and a small bridge leads to a barbeque area with a wonderful view of the sea and the Lofoten “wall”.

You can enjoy the Midnight Sun until the early hours of the morning, while sightings of the white-tailed eagle are a daily occurrence. Orcas and whales pass by and their way in and out of the Vestfjord many times per year.
