Arctic Wilderness Experience (AWE) is a small family-run company based in Hamarøy in Nordland, in a picturesque area surrounded by majestic mountains, fjords, tidal currents and a rich flora and fauna. Our wilderness experience covers more than 25 years in the Arctic. AWE`s base is situated at Finnøy, a 30-minute drive from the E6 at Innhavet.

Accommodation in a characteristic Nordland house
Experience the calmness and peace of mind in old timber walls and rustic charm. This three-bedroom historic Nordland house built in 1850 has a lot of character and sleeps up to nine people. Toilet and bathroom facilities are in an adjacent house. There is a gas stove and refrigerator in the kitchen and wood burners in the two lounges.

We serve delicious meals for up to 35 people around the open fire in our lavvu (Sami herdsmen’s tent) and have a full liquor licence.
